Born in Calabria, Italy, and raised in Turin, Carmine Marzano acquired a passion for cooking at an early age and inherited a culinary flair from his father. He trained professionally at Istituto Alberghiero Statale di Pienerolo. After 3 years as executive chef at the exclusive Ristorante Giudice in Turin, Carmine came to the U.S. to assist Roberto Donna with the opening of Galileo. In 1993, the Marzanos opened Luigino to acclaim. Luigino became a Bruzzo family effort and continues to be a popular destination.
